With the Dubai Metro set to start operating from September 9, Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre  have announced plans to introduce paid parking from September 10. As they are both located close to Metro stations, the mall management stated they intend to deter Metro commuters from using the mall parking facilities.

The mall parking will be free for visitors for the first three hours on weekdays and first four hours on weekends. And those who visit Cinestar for a movie get an additional free hour.

On weekdays, parking beyond three hours will be charged at AED 20 per hour for the next three hours. And on weekends, the charges will be AED 40 and AED 60 for the first and second extra hours after the intial free four hours.
