Cell Phone or Spouse?

The listeners were asked whether they would like to hold their partner’s hand or a cell phone. Surprisingly, more than half said they would rather hold a cell phone! I understand how essential the PDAs are to people in this day and age, but to choose it over your loved one – definitely beyond me.
A similar survey had been done last year, in which more than a third said if forced to pick one – they would rather stay with their Blackberry than their spouse!
With the advances in technology, more and more people are working around the clock and on weekends, finding it difficult to mentally switch off. It has also blurred the lines that defined their personal time, with people available on the cell phone anywhere and at anytime. But as much as we may dislike it, I think this trend is here to stay at least for a while.
