ID Card Update: New Deadline Dec 2010

“Calm down, don’t panic. Your deadline isn’t until the end of 2010,” said Darwish al Zarouni, the director general of Eida.
According to a schedule released by EIDA earlier, expat professionals (Workers in the following fields: Consultancy, Medical, pharmaceutics, Nursing, Engineering, Media, Marketing, journalism, PRO, IT and computers, Teaching & training, Accounting and Auditing, Investments, Law, Sales, and trade License owners) had to register by Feb 28. Reports suggest 430,000 expats have yet to apply for the ID card.
He added that expats who do not meet this deadline will not be denied access to government services or fined until 2010.

I belong to Group 1 whose deadline is on 28th February 2009, however, I failed to register for the Emirates ID Card because early that month my current company has given me a termination notice which will be at the end of March 2009. I just found another job in Abu Dhabi which will start on April 2009. Is there any provision in connection with this case. I have read on articles that the Emirates ID is based on Visa Effectivity. If I register for the ID on Feb 28, and my visa is cancelled on March 31, will I still apply for another ID? Can you give an advice on what is the best solution for me to secure the Emirates ID and at the same time minimize the penalty (if any). Thanks.
My ID card expiry date is on 9/5/2009. please let me kow when is the deadline for renewal,,, or if I should do anew applicatin form for the renewal,, or I have to stop at any office for that.

Calm Down Don;’t panic. What the hell!
I have submitted my application since January and i have not received my papers up to now.
When i went to follow it up, they said they have no records of me despite showing them the receipt.
Crap, crap crap, piece of crap.
Before coming up with the deadline they should first come up with a better system.
Not long before the deadline now. What will happen if it is missed by anyone? Will they be shown the door?
my visa finishes on may 2011, isnt it possible if i make my emirates ID on my renewal visa without any penalty ??? pls respond me ASAP,
would ;like to know the dead line of registration as of now because there are rumours that failure to register as of jan 1 a fine of 1500aed will be imposed. cani get the naked truth please
wat is this ??? i have 800 dhs. salary per month ….and this expences came around im in sales , and now i have to pay 350 dhs. aprx for the id ? wat is this ?? how i will pay this ? how to survive ???? this is trick of earning money !! nothing else !!!!
