Dubai has done it again. A new project by design house Palazzo Versace in Dubai has made headlines around the world. The AED 3 billion luxury resort to be built in Culture Village will have the world’s first climate-controlled beach for the hot summer days when temperatures easily go over 40C.

It is said that they will attempt to artificially cool the sand, by cooling the air moving across the beach. The project has created a lot of controversy amongst environmentalists worried about the carbon footprint of such an undertaking.

Controversial or not, Dubai has come up with a lot of innovative projects in the real estate sector. From creating the largest man made islands to the tallest tower in the world…Dubai is always in the news.
