This weekend has been quite stormy alright – in Jumeirah you can actually hear the wind howling behind double-paned windows! The day has generally been overcast and cold, with very strong winds throughout – most people have retreated indoors and are advised to venture out with great care due to low visibility. Khaleej Times reported: Near-gale force winds are expected to hit Dubai today, said Dubai Meteorological office duty forecaster Amna Yasin yesterday. The shamal was expected to begin late last night and has been significantly upgraded as its strength grew during the week.
