Hello Marko,

Where are you travelling to Dubai from? And what sort of experience do you have?

The amount of savings you need would depend on how your lifestyle is, where / who you will be staying with while in Dubai and also how long it takes before you find a job.

Getting a good job is very much reliant on the demand in the sector you're looking at - what industries have you worked with?

There are different schools of thought here but a lot of expats prefer coming over to Dubai and then networking & doing the job hunting on the ground - this enables them to meet with potential employers face to face. Since most expats are on 'expat packages' I dont think it would make a big difference if you got the job from home or here... but others may have had different experiences.

If the demand for your position is there and you are a great applicant, the company should usually be willing to fly you in.

Dubai has a very vibrant nightlife...from great restaurants to bars to other hang-outs - these would be the best places to meet new people in the beginning!

Hope some of this helps!
