Congratulations on covering the top websites in the UAE. I was a little surprised however to see that you did not include http://www.uaeinteract.com which ranks number 2 on Google, behind Wickipedia, under the search word ‘UAE’ and has been online since 1996. It contains over 100,000 archived articles on the UAE, searchable under key-words and by classified index, and is updated daily. It contains full text of books like the UAE Yearbook which we publish each year, and also The Emirates - A Natural History which provides a full account of the UAE’s natural world. It also includes films such as Creative Energy - Shaping the Emirates. I doubt whether any other site contains the wealth of information on the UAE that we have gathered on UAE Interact.
Google certainly agrees that it ranks as the top national website on the UAE.
In order to verify this, enter UAE on the Google search engine.
We are always looking for ways to improve the website and would be keen to hear from your own readers about this.
Meanwhile, I hope that you will take the time to check out
http://www.uaeinteract.com
Many thanks for your own excellent work.
Kind regards,
Peter Vine
I was very surprised that Dubai Lime isnt in there - I think its the only community website in Dubai in English Language with decent content! I am on it at least three times a day and get the podcast and video updates. My honest suggestion is to check it out and spend some time to get around it. The navigation isnt great but the content is amazing and all Dubai Relevant. More impressive is that they run it as a not for profit company - so they dont choke you with any of the advertising crap you get on other sites. Honestly I think this is the best site in Dubai - I really rate it a lot. I think it has not been reviewed because its very new - like only a month old or something. Anyway I would most certainly suggest you spend 30 minutes having a good old dig around. I would like to see it reviewed on the next feature.
A great source for Music in Dubai and Ar, Culture community etc its http://www.dubailime.com
