Taxis to be fitted with Speed Limiters
1 Comment Published by hotelguru August 20th, 2006 in Living, News.Gulf News reports:
In future the roads could be a little bit calmer as taxis are going to be fitted with devices that will limit their maximum speed to 120 km per hour. As reported in Gulf News, about 6,000 taxis in Dubai will get the devices within the next three months.
The discussion now centres on whether these speed limiting devices should be fitted on all vehicles, and if this will help make roads safer in general. For comments and opinions from residents in Dubai, check out the original article here: http://www.gulf-news.com/nation/City_Talk/10061098.html
